Conference facilities
An intimate room can be customized for your workshops in Megève. It
accommodates up to 25 people when using a central table and up to 40
people in conference mode. The hotel caters for bed and breakfast as
well as coffee breaks. Advance reservation is necessary for meal
services.

The Region
Megève is situated in the Rhône-Alpes region of the Haute-Savoie
department. Its location on a mountain pass separating the Arly and
the Arbon watersheds offers a majestic view of the Mont-Blanc
Massif.
Tourism started booming in the 1910s when the Rothschild family made
it one of their holiday resorts focusing on turning it into a symbol
of the French art of living. Megève proved to be a success right
from the start and attracted some of the most famous crowned heads.
Nowadays, the town enjoys international status since it is
considered one of the most beautiful resorts in the world. To live
up to its reputation Megève offers just about everything from
accessibility to infrastructure as well as a fantastic leisure and
cultural offer.
Winter
During winter Megève is part of the “Evasion Mont Blanc” ski area.
The 162 downhill runs totalling over 450 km rival for beauty. They
boast quite unique views as well as a view of the Mont Blanc.
An amazingly varied ski experience : easy runs like
famous “Mandarine” don’t exclude novice skiers from some moving
first downhills. Black runs like “Rosay” or “La Princesse Noire”
provide accomplished skiers with great sensations.
Let’s not forget about the 43 km of cross-country ski tracks -
groomed for both classic and skate skiing - as well as Megève’s
snowshoeing footpaths. You can also get introduced to playing
curling and for the bit unusual, go on a dog sledging adventure that
includes an introduction to harnessing, the actual outing and a
trapper evening.
Summer
A lot of sports are on offer :
Hiking, tennis (35 courts), mountain biking, summer tobogganing,
horseback riding, mountain and wall climbing, an 18-hole golf
course, paragliding, helicopter and hot-air balloon flights, fitness
trails, paintball, bowling, body-building, dancing etc.
Furthermore, the sports stadium features an Olympic-size swimming
pool, a 70-meter water slide, a children’s pool, saunas, a steam
bath, a trampoline and an Olympic-size skating rink.

Hotel La Prairie is located in the centre of Megève, a
famous resort in France’s Mont-Blanc massif.
Arrival by car :
Coming from Lyon or Grenoble, rejoin motorway A430 in the
direction of Albertville. Take exit no. 30
Albertville-Centre. Continue on the secondary road D1212
until Megève. When arriving at the village, continue on the
main road. At the third roundabout, take the first exit. Then take
the second street on your left. The hotel is located 200 m down the
road.
Coming from Geneva via motorway A40, take exit no. 20
Sallanches. Continue on the secondary road D1212 in the
direction of Megève. When arriving at the village, turn left
just before the roundabout. You are now on Rue Charles Feige and the
hotel is located a few metres down the road.
Coming from Italy via the Mont-Blanc Tunnel, drive until
St-Gervais. Then take the direction of Megève and
follow the above driving directions.
Arrival by train :
The regional express trains TER of the St-Gervais-Geneva-Annecy line
stop at the Sallanches railway station, which is 12 km from
Megève away. A bus service runs between this railway station and the
centre of Megève.
The French high-speed trains TGV coming from various European
countries stop at the Albertville railway station, which is
35 km from Megève away. A bus service runs between this railway
station and the centre of Megève.
Arrival by airplane : Geneva Airport is 75 km from Megève away. To get to the
hotel, take the motorway in the direction of France. Having crossed
the border, continue on motorway A40 in the direction of Chamonix.
Then follow the above driving directions.
Lyon Airport is 170 km from Megève away. To get to the hotel,
rejoin motorway A43 in the direction of Chambéry. Then follow the
above driving directions.
