The Region
Alberobello is situated upon two hills, once separated by a riverbed. On the eastern hill is the new town, with modern architectural features; on the other top, set out to west, the trulli are lined up in an urban conglomeration, subdivided into two districts: Monti and Aia Piccola, both National Monuments today World Heritage. The agricultural landscape is characterized by a thick vegetation of almonds and olives, which thrive on bald land.

Arrival by car :
From Bari : Take the road that runs along the Adriatic Sea to get onto state highway SS16/E55 at the outskirts of San Giorgio. Passing near Monopoli, drive on and take the exit in the direction of Taranto (SS172) / Fasano Centro. Pass through Fasano on state highway SS172DIR. In Locorotondo, turn left onto provincial highway SP162 / Via Martina Franca. After 100 m, turn right onto state highway SS172 / Via Alberobello. Just before arriving at Alberobello, turn left into Via Cavour. Follow this road for about 1 km. Then turn left into Via Garibaldi. Continue until Piazza Ferdinando IV. Turn right to cross the square for about 100 m. This is where Hotel Lanzillotta is located, in the very heart of the old town, a stone’s throw away from the cone-shaped trulli houses.

From Brindisi : Take state highway SS379 / E55 and exit in the direction of Bari. Near Fasano, take state highway SS16 / E55 and exit in the direction of Taranto (SS172) / Fasano Centro. Monopoli railway station is 20 km from the hotel away.
Alberobello railway station is 600 m from the hotel away.
From Alberobello railway station : take Via Margherita and turn into Viale Bari, the 1st road on your left. Then take the 1st road on your right, Via Garibaldi. Continue until Piazza Ferdinando IV. Arrival by airplane :
The Bari-Palese and Brindisi airports are 70 km from the hotel away. Buses link both airports to their respective city centers. It takes about 25 to 30 minutes to get to the Bari railway station and about 35 to 40 minutes to get to the Brindisi railway station.
