The coastal city of Tarragona is the capital of Costa Daurada. It is
situated south of Catalonia, about a hundred kilometers south-west of
Barcelona.
Minotel Lauria is located roughly a hundred meters from the beach
(Platja del Miracle) and the convention centre (Palau Firal i de
Congresso) away.
Arrival by car :
Arriving via motorway A7/E15 Barcelona-Valencia, take exit no.
33 in the direction of Tarragona. At roundabout Plaça Imperial
Tarraco, take Rambla Nova almost until its end (about 900 m).
Minotel Lauria and its underground car park are located on your right-
hand side.
Arrival by train and public
transport :
Estación F.F.C.C. de Tarragona railway station is well linked by the
Spanish rail network RENFE. Several times an hour, a train leaves for
Barcelona, Tortosa, Reus and Lleida. Long-distance train connections
exist with Valencia, Andalusia, Madrid and France.
You can reach the hotel from the station within a few minutes’ walk.
Turn right at the station’s exit (Passeig d'Espanya), then turn left
and walk up the small slope on your right. Turn left into Carrer del
Pons D’Icart and immediately turn right into the pedestrian street
(Calle Roger de Llúria). After 200 m, you will find yourself on
Rambla Nova. Hotel Lauria is located directly to your right.
Tarragona also boasts a modern coach station near Plaça Imperial
Tarraco. It connects to most of the region’s seaside resorts. Coach
companies Eurolines and Alsa run international journeys to most West
European countries, Maroco and some Eastern countries.
Arrival by airplane :
Small, but booming Reus Airport is only 12 km from the hotel away. It
offers two daily connections with Madrid-Barajas, but it is low cost
company Ryanair that above all offers connections with Francfurt
(Hahn), Dublin, Glasgow (Prestwick), Liverpool as well as London
(Luton and Stanstead).
From Barcelona-El Prat International Airport, Alsa direct buses leave
4 times a day for Tarragona (8:00 am, 12:30, 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm ; a
1-hour journey).
By train, rejoin Barcelona-Sants railway station where you take a
train for Tarragona on platform 5 (departure every half an hour from
5:43 am to 8:46 pm, about a 1 3/4-hour journey).
