Caux is a small village that spoils you with a wide choice of winter and summer activities.

Head for the Caux natural ice rink if you are into ice-skating. It operates from around mid Decembre to mid March. Its romantic setting makes it a cherished outdoor experience. Treating yourself to a cheese fondue or raclette with hot or cold drinks rewards you after your workout.

Reach the two local tennis courts within a 5-minute walk from Caux train station. To hire a court for an hour costs about 10 Swiss Francs whereas the tennis courts are closed during winter.

The daffodil hiking trail (le sentier des narcisses) is a must-do between May and June. It leads you through lush fields in full bloom.

Just a few steps from “Buffet de la gare” restaurant there is a cog railway that takes you right up to the Rochers de Naye.

The Rochers-de-Naye mountain towers over the Vaud Riviera at an altitude of 2'045 m above sea level. It became a tourist attraction for its 360° panoramic view no more than 4 km from Lake Geneva away. From its peak you savour an astounding view over the Lake Geneva Basin, the Jura mountain range as well as the Alps in Vaud, Berne, Valais and Savoy.

For those of you who are in the mood for a more thrilling experience, make your way up from Sonchaux until you reach the takeoff point for paragliders and hang-gliders. Watch them take off while taking in the mind-blowing views.
