Arrival You can come with your car (parking available in front of the hotel) or with the CFF from Fribourg-Bulle. From the train station in Bulle you will be picked up by our hotel shuttle and driven to Charmey (10 minutes drive). Check in at noon Welcome aperitif and a small salad. At 16:00, our head chef, Loïc Chauvel, will compose the menu in accordance to the group’s preferences. During lunch each day, the dinner menu will be decided. Your choices may vary from vegetarian, fitness, and low calorie meals. Deciding on the menu cooperatively will help improve teamwork. For those who are not taking part in the cooking course, you will have the option to go for a Nordic-Walk in the beautiful Pre Alps of the region (2 to 3 hours). Walking sticks will be provided by the hotel. At 20:00, the chosen menu during the afternoon will be served. The second day, starting at 7am, a Gruyèrien breakfast will be provided. at 9:30 am, departure for Vounetz ski resort (two and a half hours walk). At Noon, discover the magnificent panoramic view of the Pre Alps from the terrace of the mountain chalet (Les Dents Vertes) on the summit. An aperitif is served on the terrace. At 12:30, enjoy a fondue in mid-air on the ski lift, Rapido Sky, or a Chalet Soup with a cheese plate on the terrace of the restaurant. At 14:00, on your way back to Charmey you will have the opportunity to stop at the cheese cellar “La Tzintre”, where the regions famous Gruyère and Vachrin cheeses are made, and have an aperitif with an assortment of cheeses. At 17:00, souvenirs of the traditional Bénichon mustard and Couchaule for breakfast the next day.
