In Budapest, the underground, trams, trolley buses and buses bend over backwards to help you visit the city. You can also easily rent a car for greater independence. Don't miss a ride on the Sikló (funicular railway), which allows you to admire the river and the city of Pest, and to get easy access to the top of the steep Castle Hill.

As for the Danube, it is a very pleasant means of transport in summer. A jet-foil service operates on the Danube between Vienna and Budapest. I addition, there is a regular boat service that serves the holiday areas located in the north of Budapest. Finally, river boats go between the town's northern and southern boundaries from May to September.
